27 Weeks!
We have made it to 27 weeks! Baby is doing great right now. We had an ultrasound yesterday and she's weighing about 2 lbs right now. Hopefully I'll be able to keep her in for the next 7 weeks, which is the longest they will let me go. Because of the low fluid I do not feel her move very much. Maybe only 2 to 3 times a day. But the doctors say that this is normal. They just keep checking on the monitors that everything is fine.

no change
Well I've made it 2 days and no changes. I have had a course of magnesium to help with brain development. 2 shots of steroids to improve the lungs. And have 5 more days of antibiotics to ward off infection. I don't feel her move very much but the doctors said once the steroids go through my system she should become more active. I guess it makes them very sleepy. Our goal is just to take it day by day, week by week.

my water has broken
Sorry for the crappy i.phone update. As of yesterday my water broke. I am now in the hospital till the baby comes. I am 26 weeks right now and the longest they will let me go if she stays in is 34 weeks. So best case scenario is she will stay in and I'll be in tue hospital for 8 weeks. No matter when she comes she will have to go to the NI.CU. The longer she stays put the shorter her stay will be in there. Me and Teressa are keeping very positive outlooks. The hardest part of all this is not being with our Aydan. She is staying at grandma and grandpa's house and last night did really good. We will not get to see her every day because the hospital is so far from home. Without traffic it is an 1:30 hr drive and with traffic can take 3 hrs one way. I will update more later.

Aydan's Medical Issues
So alot has been going on with our little Aydan lately. Since she was about 9 months old she has had constant diarrhea. We are talking about 6-10 a day on average. The doctor kept putting her on different things to see if it would stop. It never did. When she turned one she started breaking out in hives almost daily. We were giving her ben.adral every night. At this point we insisted on an allergy test because we were pretty sure she was allergic to something. Sure enough the results came back to milk. Let me add that Aydan is a very picky eater but the food she loved eating was dairy. We have tried substituting her favorites with a soy product but she just doesn't like them very much..Once we found this out the doctor wanted to keep an eye on her diarrhea to see if it improved on the new non dairy diet. After about 2 months it became apparent that it was not getting better at all. Also our picky eater child had now turned into a child that did not eat. She was drinking all day but would not eat hardly anything. The doctor told us to withhold all drink and snack to see if she would eat. She went almost 3 days with just picking at her food till I broke down and gave her something to drink. Obviously withholding was not making her eat.
We then took her to a GI specialist to see what they said. They ran a bunch of test that all came back fine and decided that she had diarrhea so bad because she did not eat and just drank. They also ran a diabetes test just to be sure and that was also negative. The GI specialist put her on a stick diet. She is to drink a supplement drink 3 times a day. No soy milk or any other liquid at all. Except for water between meals. She is to be offered 3 meals a day but after 30 minutes if she is not eating it then it is to be taken away and her shake then given to her. She is not allowed anything else till her next meal.
They put her on this stick diet mainly because they labeled her as failure to thrive. Because she is not getting the nutrients she needs every day she is not growing. She has been at the exact same height and weight now for 5 months.
So far she is drinking 2 shakes a day, occasionally 3. She eats breakfast most mornings but does not really touch lunch and dinner. She has another appointment in July to see if maybe it might be something on how she eats, in her throat or swallowing. I maybe it is hurting her and that why she is not eating. We also have a early intervention specialist coming to see if maybe it might be a texture issue. .If you got this far sorry so long but I had to get it off my chest. So much has been going on and sometime I wish I could just pick her up and get her to eat.

Movement
So yesterday I spoke too soon. This morning while lying in bed, I felt the first little flutters. I love feeling them. This was one of my most favorite times when I was pregnant with Aydan. And to be able to experience it all over again, I have no words for it.

18 Weeks To Go
Just a quick post from my I.phone. I cannot believe that we only have 18 weeks to go! It is so crazy. I have not felt little J move yet but I'm guessing any day now I will. Luckily I go to the doctors every 2 weeks so I get to hear the heartbeat often. I hope everyone is doing great!

My Whirlwind Four Weeks
Oh my let me tell you that the last 4 weeks have been insane. I have seen 4 different doctors, been the to emergency room twice, and been let go of my current OB to find another one. I guess I will start with the whole OB thing first. After my first appointment with my OB they had me make an appointment at a hospital and hour away in Evenston to see a high risk doctor. We went there and had a great consultation with the doctor. She went over my whole history with both pregnancies and concluded though I was on insulin for Aydan everything was very under control and I should not need to go there for this pregnancy. I should be able to stay with my currant OB. This news was very exciting because in order for me to go to my appointments last time I ended up having to take off the whole day from work because they are more like a clinic and you wait for hours till they call you back. And I also did not work once I went to twice weekly visits because my work would not work around my appointments. So not having to go there would have been great. I went back to my OB 2 weeks later for my monthly appointment and was told by my doctor he would not see me anymore. He didn't care what Evenston said he did not want to care for me since I will eventually be high risk. I left the office that day very upset. I made the call to Eventson to transfer there and was told because I was not high risk yet they could not take me. I was completely lost on what to do. My doctor wont take me and the hospital he told me to go to wont take me. Where was I supposed to go?
.
I called OB after OB and was told the same thing. Since I will be high risk they would not take me. I called over 50 OB and spent over 4 hrs on the phone. To make matters worse I started bleeding that night. I had no OB to call and had to go to the emergency room. They did nothing but tell me to see an OB and take it easy. They gave me a referral number, one of which I had called the day before and was told they would not take me, and I called it telling them I had a referral from the emergency room. Lo and behold they said they would take me after all. Its amazing what a little piece of paper can do. I mad an appointment for the next week to see them. But before I made it to that appointment I started bleeding more and having cramping. So back to the emergency room I went.
.
I hated this visit. I had to go alone because we could not get anyone to watch Aydan and so Teressa had to stay home. I went in and sat for hours in a room. When the PA finally came in she checked me out and told me that I was dilated and placental tissue was sticking out and would miscarriage in the next 24 hours. Here I was almost 10 weeks. I was upset to say the least. I called Teressa and told her what they said and of course she was very upset as well. I waited for another couple of hours and they decided to do an ultrasound. Everything looked great! The baby was great, heartbeat was great, cervix on the inside was great. Nothing looked amiss. I felt better but still did not understand what exactly was going on. I was then sent home with no other explanation.
.
I went to the new OB appointment and was looked over. The dilation the emergency room saw was not dilation or placental tissue. I have a polyp on my cervix. Right smack dab in the middle. It is causing the bleeding and we will just have to watch it very closely. The baby is doing great and I got to hear its little heartbeat! Its very strong and music to my ears!
.
I have other information but that is a whole other issue and I will write about that later. As for right now I am doing good and the baby is doing good so that is all that really matters in the end. As for everyone else I hope your last month was a lot better then mine.
