She's Here!

Our little Georgia decided she could not wait any longer. She made her appearance July 1, 2011 at 27 weeks and 2 days. She weighed 2 lbs and almost half an once. She was 13 1/2 inches long. She is doing really good right now. Breathing on her own. Maintaining her body temperature. They started giving her my pumped breastmilk alot sooner then they thought they were going to. But because she is doing so well they decided to start trying her, and so far she has been tolerating the feeds very well! I will update more later.

So I had some really good pictures this month but now cannot post them. :( I love seeing everyone else's pictures though.

27 Weeks!

We have made it to 27 weeks! Baby is doing great right now. We had an ultrasound yesterday and she's weighing about 2 lbs right now. Hopefully I'll be able to keep her in for the next 7 weeks, which is the longest they will let me go. Because of the low fluid I do not feel her move very much. Maybe only 2 to 3 times a day. But the doctors say that this is normal. They just keep checking on the monitors that everything is fine.

June 26, 2011

no change

Well I've made it 2 days and no changes. I have had a course of magnesium to help with brain development. 2 shots of steroids to improve the lungs. And have 5 more days of antibiotics to ward off infection. I don't feel her move very much but the doctors said once the steroids go through my system she should become more active. I guess it makes them very sleepy. Our goal is just to take it day by day, week by week.

my water has broken

Sorry for the crappy i.phone update. As of yesterday my water broke. I am now in the hospital till the baby comes. I am 26 weeks right now and the longest they will let me go if she stays in is 34 weeks. So best case scenario is she will stay in and I'll be in tue hospital for 8 weeks. No matter when she comes she will have to go to the NI.CU. The longer she stays put the shorter her stay will be in there. Me and Teressa are keeping very positive outlooks. The hardest part of all this is not being with our Aydan. She is staying at grandma and grandpa's house and last night did really good. We will not get to see her every day because the hospital is so far from home. Without traffic it is an 1:30 hr drive and with traffic can take 3 hrs one way. I will update more later.

Aydan's Medical Issues

So alot has been going on with our little Aydan lately. Since she was about 9 months old she has had constant diarrhea. We are talking about 6-10 a day on average. The doctor kept putting her on different things to see if it would stop. It never did. When she turned one she started breaking out in hives almost daily. We were giving her ben.adral every night. At this point we insisted on an allergy test because we were pretty sure she was allergic to something. Sure enough the results came back to milk. Let me add that Aydan is a very picky eater but the food she loved eating was dairy. We have tried substituting her favorites with a soy product but she just doesn't like them very much..Once we found this out the doctor wanted to keep an eye on her diarrhea to see if it improved on the new non dairy diet. After about 2 months it became apparent that it was not getting better at all. Also our picky eater child had now turned into a child that did not eat. She was drinking all day but would not eat hardly anything. The doctor told us to withhold all drink and snack to see if she would eat. She went almost 3 days with just picking at her food till I broke down and gave her something to drink. Obviously withholding was not making her eat.

We then took her to a GI specialist to see what they said. They ran a bunch of test that all came back fine and decided that she had diarrhea so bad because she did not eat and just drank. They also ran a diabetes test just to be sure and that was also negative. The GI specialist put her on a stick diet. She is to drink a supplement drink 3 times a day. No soy milk or any other liquid at all. Except for water between meals. She is to be offered 3 meals a day but after 30 minutes if she is not eating it then it is to be taken away and her shake then given to her. She is not allowed anything else till her next meal.

They put her on this stick diet mainly because they labeled her as failure to thrive. Because she is not getting the nutrients she needs every day she is not growing. She has been at the exact same height and weight now for 5 months.

So far she is drinking 2 shakes a day, occasionally 3. She eats breakfast most mornings but does not really touch lunch and dinner. She has another appointment in July to see if maybe it might be something on how she eats, in her throat or swallowing. I maybe it is hurting her and that why she is not eating. We also have a early intervention specialist coming to see if maybe it might be a texture issue. .If you got this far sorry so long but I had to get it off my chest. So much has been going on and sometime I wish I could just pick her up and get her to eat.

Movement

So yesterday I spoke too soon. This morning while lying in bed, I felt the first little flutters. I love feeling them. This was one of my most favorite times when I was pregnant with Aydan. And to be able to experience it all over again, I have no words for it.

18 Weeks To Go

Just a quick post from my I.phone. I cannot believe that we only have 18 weeks to go! It is so crazy. I have not felt little J move yet but I'm guessing any day now I will. Luckily I go to the doctors every 2 weeks so I get to hear the heartbeat often. I hope everyone is doing great!

My Whirlwind Four Weeks

Oh my let me tell you that the last 4 weeks have been insane. I have seen 4 different doctors, been the to emergency room twice, and been let go of my current OB to find another one. I guess I will start with the whole OB thing first. After my first appointment with my OB they had me make an appointment at a hospital and hour away in Evenston to see a high risk doctor. We went there and had a great consultation with the doctor. She went over my whole history with both pregnancies and concluded though I was on insulin for Aydan everything was very under control and I should not need to go there for this pregnancy. I should be able to stay with my currant OB. This news was very exciting because in order for me to go to my appointments last time I ended up having to take off the whole day from work because they are more like a clinic and you wait for hours till they call you back. And I also did not work once I went to twice weekly visits because my work would not work around my appointments. So not having to go there would have been great. I went back to my OB 2 weeks later for my monthly appointment and was told by my doctor he would not see me anymore. He didn't care what Evenston said he did not want to care for me since I will eventually be high risk. I left the office that day very upset. I made the call to Eventson to transfer there and was told because I was not high risk yet they could not take me. I was completely lost on what to do. My doctor wont take me and the hospital he told me to go to wont take me. Where was I supposed to go?
.
I called OB after OB and was told the same thing. Since I will be high risk they would not take me. I called over 50 OB and spent over 4 hrs on the phone. To make matters worse I started bleeding that night. I had no OB to call and had to go to the emergency room. They did nothing but tell me to see an OB and take it easy. They gave me a referral number, one of which I had called the day before and was told they would not take me, and I called it telling them I had a referral from the emergency room. Lo and behold they said they would take me after all. Its amazing what a little piece of paper can do. I mad an appointment for the next week to see them. But before I made it to that appointment I started bleeding more and having cramping. So back to the emergency room I went.
.
I hated this visit. I had to go alone because we could not get anyone to watch Aydan and so Teressa had to stay home. I went in and sat for hours in a room. When the PA finally came in she checked me out and told me that I was dilated and placental tissue was sticking out and would miscarriage in the next 24 hours. Here I was almost 10 weeks. I was upset to say the least. I called Teressa and told her what they said and of course she was very upset as well. I waited for another couple of hours and they decided to do an ultrasound. Everything looked great! The baby was great, heartbeat was great, cervix on the inside was great. Nothing looked amiss. I felt better but still did not understand what exactly was going on. I was then sent home with no other explanation.
.
I went to the new OB appointment and was looked over. The dilation the emergency room saw was not dilation or placental tissue. I have a polyp on my cervix. Right smack dab in the middle. It is causing the bleeding and we will just have to watch it very closely. The baby is doing great and I got to hear its little heartbeat! Its very strong and music to my ears!
.
I have other information but that is a whole other issue and I will write about that later. As for right now I am doing good and the baby is doing good so that is all that really matters in the end. As for everyone else I hope your last month was a lot better then mine.

8w4d and a picture

I feel so terrible. I promised a picture of the little sprocket and did not deliver. In my defense I have been very sick as well as the whole house. Teressa got the stomach flu then Aydan got it and then I did. It was a very bad almost 2 weeks. Aydan went through almost a whole pack of diapers and by far had it the worst out of all of us. We did have an ultrasound on Monday and everything looked great. We did not get a great picture but the little one is measuring great and had an excellent heartbeat of 158. We were a little disappointed we did not see two in their though a little relieved at the same time. As promised here is a picture of little Sprocket.

7 Weeks

I cant believe that 7 weeks has gone by already. We get to have our first ultrasound on Valentines Day! I take this as a good sign. We cant wait to get our picture of our little bean. Everything has been a little crazy around here since we found out we were pregnant. Our little Aydan is allergic to Milk. Unfortunately dairy is about 3/4 of the things she does eat. She is a very picky eater and does not eat much. As such she is almost 17 months and only weighs 20 pounds. I have to call a nutritionist to make an appointment for her. I am still going to school this semester so I am still very busy at doing my work as well as working full time. I have been having a lot of issues at work lately and though I hate to do it, I am currently looking for a new job. I have bent over backwards for my job and they continue to screw me over. I am done being treated like this and need a happier and less stressful place to be.

In pregnancy news. In my other pregnancies I never had morning sickness. I got spoiled I have to admit. With this one I have been nauseous every night and on several occasions I have thrown up. I hate to do this and just the act of throwing up will make me do it several more times. I cannot eat dinner most nights at all and it make me supper hungry in the morning. I have no problems throughout the morning or afternoon but as soon as 5ish hits that's it. I take this as a sign that the baby is growing very well. I have also not had any Spotting! I am so happy about this I cannot express how much. In the last pregnancies by week 5 I was spotting very heavily and was told several times that I was probably going to loss the baby. So far on this one nothing! I will however feel much better once I see its little heartbeat tomorrow.

The Results Are In

Well my TWW is over and I broke down and tested this morning. We have a BFP!!!!! I'm a little shocked right now because i really wasn't feeling it this month but I guess I was wrong. The only sign of anything was I am completely exhausted. I felt like i have not slept in weeks. I was thinks it was because I have been so super busy this month but now we know otherwise. I will post a picture later after a different test because the one I took is very light and did not make a good picture.

TTC #2

So we have decided to try for a second. Its something we've talked about back and forth for a while now but we feel now is a good time. We have actually been trying for 5 months now so for someone that it took the first time both times, I'm having a bit of a hard time. I got really lucky the last times and I'm seeing that now. Our next try will be on my birthday and maybe I'll get a wonderful belated birthday present in the form of a Bfp. Keep your fingers crossed for us. If by luck it does work this time, Aydan and the new little one will have very close birthdays. I was hoping to avoid this but I don't want to not try this month because then I will feel like this could have been the month if you understand what I mean.
(hopefully this cute little face will get to be a Big sister)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We will be heading to Teressa's family's house later today. I am curious to see what Aydan eats because lately she has become the pickiest eater and wont eat much of anything.

Speaking of Aydan, she is getting to be such the little toddler. She is 14 months now. Shes trying to run but is not very good at it yet. She falls down when she tries but she thinks its hilarious! She has a few words that she says but not very many.
  • Mama (finally. she just said this the other day!)
  • Itty (Kitty)
  • Ge (For Doggie)
We cant believe how big she is getting! Shes still a little peanut and is only in the 7th percentile for height and weight. She can still wear a few 9 months cloths but is mostly in 9-12 months. The straight 12 months are a little big on her.

She's Turning One!!!

I have been so bad on posting and I feel terrible. I have a new shift at work now and basically work from 6am to 6pm with a 4 hr break in the middle. And because we moved farther away from my work I stay there and wait to clock back in. Its not fun and I am currently looking for a closer place to work at. I love the kids where I am at but I feel like they just use me because they know I will do it cause I need the job.
But into my little bit. Shes not so little anymore. In a few short days she will be turning one and I can't believe it! We has her birthday party today and she had so much fun. She loved her cake and smashed it to bits and loved her gifts. She did not want to rip open anything and Me and her Mama had to help her. She got a bunch of clothes and some toys. As well as some art supplies so Mama can do art with her during the day while I am at work.
Aydan now has 8 teeth, 4 on the bottom and 4 up top. She is almost walking full time now and is supper fast. She is getting so big so fast and I just want to slow it down lol.
Its been busy around here these last few months. I started going back to school. So when I'm not at work or studying of being with my Aydan I am usually sleeping lol. I will post pics up this weekend sometime I promise.

And We Moved!

So At the beginning of May we moved to our own place. I don't know if yall remember or not but we had been living with Teressa's parents to help them out. Both of them are disabled and needed help doing most of the everyday things like cleaning, shopping, doing laundry and most of all the yard work. Back in August right before little Aydan came, Teressa's brother(R) and his wife and their three kids moved in. R had lost his job in the state they were living in and had nowhere to go. It was supposed to be temporary, only a couple of months. Well as of May they were still there.

Two of the kids were sleeping in the nursery that Aydan never got to use and she was in our very cramped room. So we discussed things with mom and dad and R and wife. We decided since R still could not find a job the best thing for everyone would be for them to stay and us to move out. They could live there and help out around the house instead of rent till they got jobs.

And we found a great little apartment, its three bedrooms so R(the little guy we take sometimes) has his own room when he comes to stay the night. Here are some pics of the place. We want to paint still and we have a ton of pictures to put up still but that will come with time lol. I don't have pictures of the kitchen, and our room. We love it, and most important of all Aydan loves it.

The dining room

The bathroom

Aydan is doing great. Getting bigger and bigger everyday. She crawls super fast now and pulls herself up on everything. Nothing is safe any more lol. She has now cut 2 bottom teeth and is eating almost all table foods. She is a very picky eater though we try very hard to get her to eat different things. We go on Wednesday for her 9 month check up. 9 months, I just can't believe it. She is so different from the little helpless one we brought home from the hospital. Shes full of attitude and sassyness. We both believe she has put on weight in these last 3 months. From when she was born and up until she was 6 months she was only in the 5th percentile. Her height was in the 10th but when she was 6 months it had dropped to the 5th as well. I'm guessing she will be 26 inches and 17 pounds. I will post more pictures of her tomorrow.

She's Moving!

So our little one has started crawling! And she looks so cute slowly bringing each knee forward and then slowly moving her hands. I know before long she will be everywhere and into everything so I am enjoying this while I can. She's such a little doll. Right now she has upper resp. infection and all shes been doing is sleeping. For 5 days she was running a fever but that seems to have stopped. Shes on the mend and doing better every day. Her 2 bottom teeth have come through, one after the other. At the doctors last week she weighed 14 lbs 4 oz and is 25 inches long. So she is still a little peanut, but has a chunky little face :).

I am registered for classes and will start in the fall. I am really excited and cannot wait to start.
